“Odd Mangers”: Drawings by Margaret Ferrec

Margaret Ferrec explores the plain rooms and unadorned fellowship halls ubiquitous with the suburban American church experience familiar to her childhood. In these simple rooms, transformative experiences of personal conversion and community life happen, even and perhaps especially in the context of people experiencing brokenness. After a year of the pandemic keeping us physically apart, returning and regathering in these ordinary spaces take on an additional layer of poignancy and nostalgia as we consider what it means to be together again.
