Due to the uptick in anti-AAPI attacks, churches around NYC will be collecting, then distributing, personal alarm devices to AAPI neighbors as a concerted effort for a measure of protection in the hopes this device will prevent, stop, or shorten an attack. This device will also draw attention from those nearby who might help someone in need.

Redeemer West Side is partnering with Redeemer East Harlem and other NYC churches in this initiative. Personal alarms will be collected through May 21, and distributed to neighbors on May 23.
