The New York Classical Players (NYCP) continues its eleventh season with a virtual concert recorded in W83’s sanctuary.

Tension, beauty, familiar strains of an undulating clarinet, and masterworks of contemporary and modern works, all performed with NYCP’s characteristic warmth and virtuosity: Serenade & Rhapsody is a virtual experience of four incredible pieces. Quartet Satz’s mesmerizing layers yield to an extraordinary Swedish serenade, followed by one of the most enduring American classics: Rhapsody in Blue, arranged for Clarinet and String Orchestra by Texu Kim and featuring Yoonah Kim. NYCP returns to the nineteenth century for Schubert’s Quartettsatz in C minor, a work filled with intense drama and echoes of nostalgia.
